So I'm very new to the blogging world, but my best friend, Lindsay, has nominated be for the Liebster Award even with my super young blog. Check hers out at The Lovely Things Are she's a cutie who lives an awesome life so look at it!

11 Random Things About Me

1. I'm a college football fanatic! That's an understatement really, but I go to a college with one of the greatest football programs in the country, The University of Oklahoma. (Boomer Sooner!!)

2. Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday. I'm a closet romantic and my middle name is Rose. How convenient. 

3. My favorite color is red.

4. I have a healthy or I think is a healthy obsession with shoes. I buy and own a ton of them.

5. Criminal Minds is my favorite show.

6. I love chocolate. I could eat only chocolate for the rest of my life and be happy!

7. I'm a total daddy's girl. Anything my dad loves I love. 

8. Which means I LOVE BEER. Especially dark beer and my favorite is Shiner Bock or Guinness.

9. I will make any excuse to craft something. This means mostly painting. I'm going to keep posting more things!

10. Family means everything to me. I'm an aunt to 3 beautiful nieces from my sister, and my brother is a organic eating vegetarian. Can't forget about the parents! They live in California.

11. I'm a bit of a tom boy, but then I have super girly moments. I love to curl my hair, but I wear Nike running shoes and t-shirts everyday. I don't really like wearing makeup and I've never cared what people think of me. Good thing my wonderful boyfriend loves me no matter how I look.

Now to answer my besties The Lovely Things Are 11 questions.

1. What is your favorite blog that you read?
Yours of course! Its weird since we were so close when we lived in Texas and now we are so far apart. All I love to do is creep on all your stuff and see your life.
2. Why did you decide to start blogging?
I decided to start blogging because I craft all the time and I like to ramble about my life so I thought this was a perfect way to do that.
3. If money and skill did not exist or matter, what career would you choose for yourself?
I would be a pastry chef. I love love love to bake.
4. Favorite animal? Why?
Snow leopard and I just think their fur is so beautiful.
5. Books versus movies? Which would you pick if you could only have one?
Books definitely. I love watching movies, but with books you're able to create a world with your own imagination instead of watching someone else's imagination on a screen.
6. If you could change your name, what would you change it to?
I don't think I would change my name. I really love it.
7. Do you drink alcohol? If so, what's your favorite drink? If not, what's your favorite non-alcoholic drink?
Yeah I drink and I usually only drink beer, which Shiner Bock is my favorite. 
8. If you could only shop in one clothing store for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Hmmm this one is hard, but probably Express.
9. What would your PERFECT day be like?
My perfect day would start out by sleeping in. Who doesn't love sleeping in? Then going to a lake and doing a huge cookout with the grill with all my friends. I love the lake and tubing, going out on the boat, and swimming.
10. If you could meet the celebrity of your dreams, who would it be and why?

I would meet Erin Andrews, because she works in sports, but she's absolutely beautiful and keeps amazing composure of herself in a mans work space.

11. Do you have a quote or mantra you live by? If so, what is it? If not, why don't you?
My quote is, " Give a gal the right shoes and she can conquer the world." by Marilyn Monroe.

Crafts on crafts on crafts

So I tend to be super nerdy with painting and always have some craft that I'm doing on the side during the summer and even school year. Here's an incompleted cooler that I'm painting for my boyfriend and tomorrow I'm painting wine glasses for my new apartment next year so I'll posts those also!

The front and back of the cooler are still under construction, but I will post pictures when the whole thing is finished. I'm really proud of it so far.

Just Simple

It took me a while to think about what my first written blog post would be. I've always heard of blogs, but never really understood their purpose. Some have significant identities like food, travel, photography or marriage/family life, and it really troubled me to figure out what to blog about to strike peoples interest. Everyone is unique in some way: some people have special hobbies, others have fashion obsessions (mine being shoes), but most just go through life in their own special way. That's what I want to blog about; my everyday random adventures I embark on, whether that's with friends, my boyfriend, or on my own. Hopefully someone will take notice and enjoy some of the quirky and normal parts of my life. But to put it simply, I just want to blog about my life full of daydreams and romance.
